Not much going on in the Velovegan household at the moment. It's been snowing for 2 days, so I thought I'd share some lovely pictures of what we've been up to recently...
How cute! How did You get Gerry to wear those boots? Sammy is still working on that. Clothing is fine, but boots are a big no no around her. Great pics!
Hello. I love your blog! I'm also a vegan from Dublin, and I also own a rescue lurcher (although our Seamus is an old timer, I reckon he'd get tired just looking at Gerry).I'm just wondering where you got Gerry's lovely booties, and his coat? I'm not sure if Seamus would keep them on long enough to get outdoors, but he could really do with some snow shoes.
Hi Everyone! I've been mega busy recently (back in work full time temporarily and also fully time doggy mummy) so I've not posted very much. Thanks for your comments though - I PROMISE I'll update really soon!
@Whiterabbit: Gerry didn't get much of a choice, hehe, I forced him to wear them. You should have seen his silly walk on the first day he wore them, but he soon got used to them :)
@Mary: Thanks so much, great to see another new reader!
@Naturetable: WOW great to meet you! Where in Dublin do you live? I'm out in Firhouse. I got Gerry's booties off ebay (they were really cheap!) and his waterproof coat was from ebay as well. His fleecy one was from a place called bleakhounds design though, google them, they are fantastic! :D I think I recognise your profile pic from Facebook? Did you join my page on there? ....... *not stalking, honest!* hehe :-p
bah! I knew I'd need a credit card - I'm trying to avoid using it until AT LEAST the new year. The bleakhounds fleeces are really lovely though...hmmm... :) I'm over in glamorous Stoneybatter - not a veggie treat to be had anywhere, but at least we're near the phoenix park. That is me on facebook. Technically, since I joined your page, that makes me the stalker... but I'm not! Really! :oD
Sorry it's taken me so long to reply! I'm aiming to get back into my blogging from now on :)
Totally get you about the credit card, I ran up quite a bill there over Christmas and in the sales :-/ I've decided not to use it any more... bought Gerry ONE last thing though, a nice new collar which I'll have to showcase on here when it arrives ^_^
That's nice that you live near the Phoenix Park, excellent for your dog!
Hi there, I'm a vegan living in Dublin, Ireland. I invite you all to see what life is like as a vegan in this part of the world! The aim of this blog is to provide information on quick and easy recipes, product information and restaurant reviews for Dublin's vegan community.
Hopefully this blog will help people to realise that being a vegan in Dublin is now, in fact, very very easy! Even the average person who works 9-5, has a hectic schedule, lives in a busy city, doesn't have much time to cook and who loves to socialise can be a healthy vegan with minimal effort!
Being a vegan is excellent for your health and much kinder to the environment and other beings that coinhabit our planet. Please take a few minutes to read through my blog and feel free to pick up some tips and comment on whatever you like... or even dislike! I love debate! ;)
Gerry, my lurcher pup, is a recent addition to the Velovegan family. I plan to eventually bring him up vegan, but the change will be gradual.
