Logi's Been Forever Homed!

EXCITING NEWS!

The little stray lurcher I rescued wandering on my green and who was subsequently taken in by Erin Hounds and then sent to the UK to be rehomed... has found his forever home!

Logan (or Logi, as he is called for short) has been adopted by an elderly gentleman called Ray, who has promised to spoil him rotten. When Alex, his foster mummy, left him at his new home he was asleep on the biggest dog bed she had ever seen, worn out after playing with Ray's daughter's two bolshie little terriers. Hopefully Ray and Logi will bond quickly and soon be inseparable!

I'm so relieved he has found the happy home he deserves, thanks to several people's hard work and dedication :)

  3. That's great news! He deserves it. My previous foster dog is still looking for a home so Logi is very lucky!

  4. Baah! I just found your blog, and I'm from Canada but lived in Kilkenny for a year a while back. OH MAN, I looooved Cornucopia so much! Whenever I went to Dublin, I made sure to eat there at least twice! And Blazing Salads! So good! Mind you, when I was there, that was pretty much it aside from a juice bar and a health food store. Kilkenny only really had their health food store and Alpro at Dunnes, but holy damn do I miss Cheezly and that soy yogurt that I can't remember. I didn't much take to Kilkenny, but I'd go back to Ireland just for the soy yogurt and Cheezly!

  5. Thank you Hannah! Every dog deserves to be loved :) Logi is very lucky indeed, I'm thrilled!

Nina, thanks for commenting! Glad you like the blog... I'm not too keen on Kilkenny myself either, a bit boring down that way, you so should have lived in Dublin instead!! Where are you from? Cheezly is nice, but I really want to try other sorts of vegan cheeses that you can get in America like nut cheeses and daiya! There's an amazing soya yogurt by Provamel that I recently discovered - blueberry flavour - and it's out of this world!! I'm obsessed!

You have me craving some Blazing Salads now too ;)

  6. Yes! Provamel was the one! It's INSANELY good, no funky soy taste! I'm from Ontario, but I moved out to Dublin originally, then got a job in Kilkenny at THE WORST hotel ever, so I had to move down there. Daiya's pretty good, but I find that I only really like it when it's melted onto something. Eating it straight out of the bag isn't so great. I've never tried a store-bought nut cheese myself, but I've made a few at home, and I'd suggest trying this one http://kblog.lunchboxbunch.com/2010/08/vegan-cashew-cheese-herb-crust-velvet.html. It's super good, but you may want to add a bit more flavour to it, I found it was really cashew-y.

  7. Thanks for the recipe! I'll have to give it a go! I LOVE cashews so that's no bother to me ;) xxx
